Guillermo Del Campo O.D.

Dr. Guillermo Del Campo is a compassionate doctor with a passion for helping others achieve their full potential. Originally a South Florida native, after graduating optometry school, Dr. āGā practiced in Richmond, Virginia for 3 years. He joined Alderwood Vision Therapy Center in 2021 to pursue and practice Vision Therapy full-time. Until graduating from optometry school, he struggled with almost instant fatigue, falling asleep and frequent loss of place when reading. This led to poor reading comprehension and spending significantly more time studying than his peers. He assumed this was normal as he had had those issues most of his life. When he discovered that most of his challenges in school and daily life were from an underlying binocular eye teaming vision problem, he became incredibly interested in how these challenges not only affected him, but how it limited others from becoming the best versions of themselves. Because of his visual challenges, he strives to inform and educate all of those similarly affected so that they do not have to face the same unnecessary challenges.
While still living in Florida, Dr. G attended undergraduate school at Florida International University, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. He obtained his Bachelors in Vision Science and graduated with honors with his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry (NSUCO). While at NSUCO, he served as the NSU-Chapter COVD Co-president, AOSA Community Outreach Liaison, and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometric honor society.
Outside of work, Dr. G enjoys strength training and spending time outdoors hiking with his wife, reading, and searching for the best authentic Bavarian soft pretzels.
